People's Bible

 I am so excited!
My favorite Bible commentary is now on Kindle! Currently all the volumes for the New Testament are available.

So, what's the big deal again?

I love when Amazon has a sale! It's even better if that sale is on Kindle books. So, I keep going back everyday for the Daily Deal.

Delivereads

Eclectic describes me is many ways. I am a voracious reader, but I am also an eclectic reader; if it has words on it, put it in front of me and I'll read it! It's been that way as long as I can remember. I recall sitting at the breakfast table when I was about seven years old and reading the cereal box. I couldn't begin to tell you how many cereal boxes I have read in my life.

I have recently discovered a site that sends excellent, interesting articles to my Kindle about once a week. Someone else chooses for me, puts it in my lap and of course I read it! I'm becoming so well read on any number of topics.

I really recommend you check out the site. http://delivereads.com/ It's a super-easy 2 step process.

Still Life with Murder

I just started reading this series, and I'm addicted. Nell Sweeney is bright and resourceful. I can't wait to get my hands on the next in the series. Good thing there are 6 more, and all reasonably priced.

Wow what a garden!

I just finished Leota's Garden. Many times I'll get a book for my Kindle and then it sits in my library for awhile. Not this one. It pulled me right in. I really recommend that you get it while it's still free.

Another reason to love a Kindle

As if I actually needed more reasons to love my Kindle, I discovered that when I am sick I really appreciate it.
The last few days I've had such a terrible cough that it keeps me awake. I just wake my Kindle up and read somemore until I drift off to sleep. My Kindle does too. Cough wakes me up. I just wake my Kindle up and read somemore until I drift off to sleep. My Kindle does too. Cough wakes me up. Repeat as needed.
I've caught up on reading some of the extensive library of free books I have and will provide a couple of recommendations in the next post.
For now though, I'm going to suggest a volume of short stories.

Children's books

I am so excited to see more and more children's books available on the Kindle. I recently gave my grandson (he's 6 and reads on his mother's Kindle) three of the Magic Treehouse books. What a treat to be able to share my love of the Kindle with my favorite little guy!
I have also noticed several other series of books. This grandma could certainly spend some money.

On Bear Mountain

The reader knows from the beginning (the first line of the prologue) that the two main characters will meet. When the story itself begins, the two characters alternate from a first person view. Gradually the time between the two narrows until at the point I am reading in the book (about halfway through) each almost becomes a third person narrator for the other.
In the past I have believed that you can tell a really good book because you just can't put it down.
This book is so good that I willingly put it down...so that I have time to reflect on it.
Probably the best fiction book I have read in a year.
I finished it today. Great read.
